The Uganda Sports Press Association and Nile Special have recognised four sports personalities for their remarkable performances in the months of April, May, June and July.

These include Joshua Cheptegei who won Gold and Silver in the recently concluded Olympic Games, his counterpart Jacob Kiplimo, who won the Ostrava ten thousand meters race in May, rally driver Duncan Mubiru for winning the fourth round of the national rally championship in April and his counterpart Jas Mangat who won the Kasanda rally in June.
