Thailand has done a number of things in response to the novel #coronavirus. It has been recognized as one of the best countries in the world for controlling covid, according to the WHO. In this video, we look at how Thailand has controlled Covid. What are the 5 reasons Thailand is winning the battle against COVID-19?

Well, we need to consider Thailand's primary health care system--including its extensive network of village health volunteers or VHVs, social and societal norms, and most importantly the fact that the D614G genetic mutation to the SARS-Cov-2 virus never really got established in Thailand. The coronavirus gene mutation known as the D614G amino acid mutation has become the predominant form of the virus globally. Yet, a research article published in Cell by researchers at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (link below), demonstrated that this mutation was not widely detected in either Thailand or New Zealand, which are the two countries the WHO featured in its documentary about success in battling Covid (link below). Thailand has often been compared to the US. Why is Thailand winning but America losing?
