Cachaça is a Brazilian distilled spirit made from fresh sugarcane juice, and is the MOST complex spirit in the world. In this video I go over what cachaca is, what makes it so complex, and why you should be drinking more of it!

The variety of indigenous woods that can be used to age Cachaca is what makes it so complex along with just how large Brazil is. Over 28 different kinds of indigenous woods are used in cachaca production, even though some of them are extinct now or near extinction.

Cachaca can be made anywhere in Brazil and that means that it can vary wildly depending on the terrain in which the sugarcane was planted, grown, and harvested. There are Mountains, Deserts, Wetlands, Lush Green Fields, Rainforests, All of these terrains contributing to the variety and complexity of this amazing spirit.
