Fake farm inputs are threatening to scuttle the ongoing reforms in the agriculture sector in Kenya. Agriculture experts are saying that seeds and fertilizer are some of the most counterfeited inputs in the country. Farm inputs manufacturer YARA Africa has urged the government to implement policies that would create efficient systems aimed at controlling exploitative middlemen and unscrupulous traders selling fake farm inputs.
