Many people have asked us why we farm the way we do, and the answer is that we want people around the US to have access to nutritionally dense protein no matter where they live. I grew up in a food desert, where we were limited to what the local grocery offered and there was no connection to our meal. Which is why we want people to have the ability to choose a small farm who practices regenerative ag if they so choose, who raises more than the food on your table, and puts soil health at the root of their practices.

At the end of the day I want people to know where their food came from, even if it’s only a single meal. I want people to know we raise meat, but at the end of the day we also raise soil. Our chickens eat grub and grass, they move each and everyday and they forage like they did when my great grandparents raised their own food. So today, I challenge you to look in your fridge and freezer, and decide how you can support a small farmer like us today. Together we can all make small changes in our lives to do something great for our bodies and our environment. It’s time to stop throwing blame and start chipping in to make a difference, because together we can do anything.
