(16 Jul 2017) JOSE CARRERAS PERFOMS OUTDOOR CONCERT IN LEBANON
Spanish tenor Jose Carreras performed an outdoor concert in the eastern Lebanese town of Zahle, Saturday (15 JULY 2017), as part of his final world tour.
After taking his bow, the 70 year old star told journalists he plans to step down from the stage for good in the next two years.
"My last concerts and performances are going to be probably in the next two years, so from now and two years to come I will be for sure then I will finish my professional life," he said,
Carreras added when asked, that his health is "Great."
At the height of his fame in his 40s, Carreras was one of the Three Tenors, along with Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti, who helped popularize opera.
The star has performed in Lebanon before.
