In this Sound Effects Tutorial, we show you how to get those great explosions, blood hits, gore sounds, and squishes you've been looking for. Using a combination of fireworks, firecrackers, fruit, and latex gloves you can make your own great squish sound effects.
If using fireworks or firecrackers, we suggest using an M8000 or simple bottle rockets. M8000 can be used to make excellent explosion sound effects. The bottle rockets can be used as a bullet whizzing as the bottle rocket lifts off into the air. The fruit can be used for blood splatter for a gun hit or gore effects.
If using fireworks or firecrackers, please be aware of your surroundings and also use the right safety precautions. We would suggest staying a reasonable distance away when lighting fireworks, but also enough to get decent sound. Works best for External Microphones to pick up the best sound as well.
