How to Use Microsoft OneDrive

Microsoft OneDrive is storage for all your files, word, excel, PowerPoint files, pictures, and videos in the cloud.

Instead of storing everything on your computer, you can put it on OneDrive and access it from anywhere.

You can get OneDrive with Microsoft 365 or as a stand-alone subscription.
You can also get 5 GB for free with OneDrive Basic, but that doesn’t include any other apps.

OneDrive helps with accessing your file from anywhere on any device, keeps your files safe, and makes sharing files a lot easier.

Once you sign up for OneDrive, log in with your username and password.

Inside of OneDrive, you have a search bar on top, and under that, you have all your files and folders.

To create a folder, you can press new or right-click and choose a folder.

You can also press new to create new Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and OneNote documents.

You can also upload files or entire folders. These can be other Microsoft files, pictures, videos, or any type of file.

If you bring in other Microsoft documents, you can open them in OneDrive directly from this page.

You can also select any file and share it using the share icon on top of the page.

You can also sync your OneDrive to your desktop and see the same documents online and on your computer.
