The Cochrane Outhouse Races take place in historic downtown Cochrane in late summer, where teams from local businesses and organizations push home made outhouse – race carts down First Street, chuck wagon-style.​

All outhouses are to have a toilet inside, four people from the team will push and a fifth that rides on the “throne” inside.​ However creative you want to get with those basic rules is up to you! We welcome any and all interpretations and the crowd delights in seeing what our local business & philanthropic organizations come up with to take part in this fun event.
