A kayak motor mount can be expensive but in option 2, I show a DIY side mount trolling motor that costs less than $10 - much cheaper than getting a railblaza kayak motor mount. I make a side mount trolling motor kayak mount bracket out of scrap lumber and a couple of Tee Bolts. This DIY kayak motor bracket works great for a small kayak trolling motor.
