Our beautiful Rimu Gully has been set aside to continue its natural native forest regeneration ever since we purchased this land in 1986. It has a number of our largest native forest trees especially Kahikatea and Rimu. In 2021 I created a rough walking track up the gully which has become one of our favorite walks on the farm. In this clip I share with you some of the wonder of this track.

This site is a love story. Sharing the joy, peace, beauty & sounds of nature, especially the birds, trees and landscapes of our home in the Maungakotukutuku Valley, New Zealand. Also clips of the life in nature of our small community. Since 1986 we have worked to restore our 165 acre hill / valley catchment to a vibrant, living energy through natural processes of regeneration. Our hope and intention is that in sharing our collective excitement and love for the natural world, we can, in however small a way, help spread and sustain these values out into a world and into a future that badly needs it.
