In regards to the screening party I really only have 1 word to describe what I feel…SPEECHLESS
As I sit here and try to put words together to fully express how I’m feeling, I’m finding it difficult to truly convey the magnitude of how appreciative and in awe I am of you all and your work.
Yes, it’s the “Jakob Owens Horror Short Film Contest” but it is not about me, it is about YOU and I’m just so grateful to be in a position where I can put this together year in and year out to give you all a platform to express yourselves, be seen, be heard, and just make dope ass art as you bring your ideas to life.
It’s evident not only from the filmmakers in which I talked to last night face to face, but even many of y’all online through various DM’s you send me that this contest means just as much to you as it does to me.
It inspires you, and in return it really inspires me.
Thats what its all about, motivating and inspiring each other, uplifting each other within the community to pursue our passions, ideas, and feel supported.
