Every autumn and spring, the Department of Enviroment, Water and Natural Resources conducts a series of prescribed burns to reduce the fire hazard in the state's parks and reserves. The burns are part of Government of South Australia's fire management program and aim to strategically reduce fuel loads on public land. Reducing fuel hazard can lessen the severity of bushfires and help prevent them from spreading to residential areas, saving lives and property. More information: [ Ссылка ]
