Our journey starts from Islamabad, and we make our way to Blue Water in Ankar Village, which serves as the base camp for the trek to Andrab Lake. From there, we embark on a thrilling 8-hour trekking expedition through lush green fields and pastures, along the stream that flows from Koh Lake. The trek is moderate in difficulty, making it accessible to most tourists.
Upon reaching Maidan Banda, we set up camp and take some rest. The next day, we start early in the morning to trek towards Andrab Lake. The journey from Maidan Banda to the lake is a sightseeing delight, with beautiful meadows and pastures to explore along the way. After about 2-3 hours, we reach the mesmerizing Andrab Lake, with its color-changing nature and breathtaking views.
We spend quality time at the lake, soaking in the pristine beauty of the surroundings and enjoying the serenity of the place. Depending on our preference, we may choose to spend another night at Maidan Banda or head back to Blue Water. The return journey is relatively easy, and we can reach Blue Water in about 5-6 hours.
