Ban the Big 5 is Aliansi Zero Waste Indonesia (AZWI) campaign to phasing out problematic plastics (1) single-use plastic bags, (2) single-use plastic straw, (3) styrofoam especially for food packaging, (4) single-use sachets, and (5) microbeads in personal hygiene products. 3. As part of AZWI, Nexus3 Foundation campaigned Ban the Big 5 school campaigns in coastal and river cities aims to raise awareness and help build resilience against plastic pollution in coastal and river areas among children, youth, and communities, empowering them to become change agents within their families and communities, and offering schools the intellectual ammunition to change skills, attitudes as well as vocalize encouragement to the government of targeted cities/ provinces to control single-use plastics.
