*NOTE 1* I've just realised most of the voiceovers that I made weren't appearing in the video. It must've been a mistake during processing. You can find the safety features, wheels/brakes/suspension information, history, engine, exterior features, ICE information, and boot space information under *NOTE 2*.
*NOTE 2* In terms of safety, the V70 gets 6 airbags, ABS with EBD and BA, DSTC, SIPS, WHIPS, Volvo's City Safety system, ABL, an alarm system with immobiliser, and ISOFIX child seat anchor points for the rear seats.
17" 'Pallene' alloy rims are standard on the SE Lux. The rims on this car are wrapped in Michelin Primacy HP 225/50 R17 tyres. The brakes are ventilated discs and solid discs front and rear respectively. The suspension gets MacPherson struts in front and a multi-link setup out back.
The V70 first appeared in 1996 as the estate counterpart to the S70 saloon. Both the S70 and the V70 were essentially facelifted versions of the 850 saloon and the 850 estate respectively. When time came to replace the models in 2000, the S70 became the S60 and the V70 became the estate version of the S60. 7 years later in 2007, the V70 received an all-new model, and this time, the V70 is based on the second generation S80 that was introduced in 2006. The third generation V70 was on sale for 9 years before production eventually ended on the 25th of April 2016. Throughout its lifespan, the third generation V70 received two facelifts, one in 2011 and another in 2013.
This V70 is powered by a 2.0 litre DOHC 16v turbo diesel I4 engine with CRDI. This engine produces 148hp @ 3750rpm and 320Nm of torque between 1750 and 3000rpm. 0-62mph or 0-100km/h is achieved in 9.8 seconds and the top speed is 127mph or 204km/h. The fuel tank measures 70 litres and the CFC for the V70 D3 automatic is 62.8mpg or 4.5l/100km. 118g of CO2 is emitted per km and the V70 is a FWD vehicle.
The third generation V70 was on sale in the UK between September 2007 and earlier this year. When the car was on sale, it was available in a wide variety of engines, transmissions, trim levels and options.
Exterior features of the V70 SE Lux includes automatic auto-levelling adaptive xenon projector headlights, automatic wipers, headlight washer system, LED DRLs, LED rear lights, rear fog lights, rear parking sensors, indicators on the side mirrors, body coloured door handles and side mirrors, silver roof rails, chrome highlights on the front bumper, the rear lights, and the rear hatch, and chrome window trim surrounds.
The V70 SE Lux comes with the Sensus Connect head unit that features a 7" colour display, various media connectivity options, navigation, and the High Performance Sound option with a 4X45W amplifier and 8 speakers.
The V70's boot measures 575 litres with the rear seat backs in place. Fold the rear seat backs down and remove the cargo cover to reveal 1600 litres of space. For longer items, the front passenger seat back can be folded down as well. There is a partition that can be lifted up from the boot floor and on this partition, you can find hooks and a strap to keep items secure. Underneath the boot floor is some storage and under the storage area is the vehicle's tool kit and spare tyre.
*NOTE 3* As the V70 is no longer on sale, there is no current list of variants on sale down below.
*NOTE 4* The V70 is sort of being replaced by both the smaller V60 and the larger all-new V90.
