The 2025 Honda CR-V continues to be a strong contender in the popular small crossover market, known for its low center of gravity, spacious interior, and good fuel economy. However, despite its ongoing success, there are no major changes for 2025. Pricing for the CR-V can reach up to $36,350, depending on the model and options.
The CR-V lineup includes gasoline-only models such as the LX, EX, and EX-L, while the Sport, Sport-L, and Sport Touring models feature a hybrid powertrain. Among these, the EX-L is recommended for its comprehensive features, including a powered tailgate, leather seats, and a larger touchscreen. All trim levels come with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 190 horsepower, available with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. Hill-descent control is standard, and most models come with 18-inch wheels.
On the test track, the non-hybrid EX-L reached 60 mph in 8.1 seconds, which is slightly slower than the hybrid and below the average for its class. The engine can be noisy under acceleration, adding to an uncomfortable driving experience. Fuel economy for the non-hybrid model is competitive, with EPA ratings of 28 mpg city and 34 mpg highway for front-wheel drive, slightly lower for all-wheel drive.
The CR-V's interior features a honeycomb-patterned inlay across the dashboard that hides air vents, adding a sleek touch. It also includes a partially digital gauge cluster with a 7.0-inch screen and an analog speedometer. Honda highlights improved seating for better driver comfort during long drives. The LX and EX trims come with a 7.0-inch touchscreen that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus physical controls for volume and tuning. The EX-L upgrades to a 9.0-inch screen, enhancing the infotainment experience.
