“YOSHArrangements” is the brainchild of Nikko Rivera and myself. We decided to reinterpret our existing arrangements with the help of the rest of our bandmates from YOSHA, and some of our favorite Filipino musicians.

Cheers! ANG PROBINSYANA is the second installment in the ongoing “YOSHArrangements” series. This iconic song was written and performed by 70’s legendary rock band, ANAK BAYAN (Alex Cruz, Sonny Tolentino, Vic Naldo, Bing Labrador and Edmond Fortuno.)

I arranged this song for KZ Tandingan’s spot number at the BOYZ II MEN with DIVAS concert held last December, 2018. Sadly, we weren’t able to perform it then, but KZ and I always intended for it to be released eventually.

Joining Nikko Rivera, Michael Alba, Yosha Honasan, and myself are Philippines’ Soul Supreme, KZ Tandingan, and my personal favorite and arguably the best Pinoy Rapper of our generation, Gloc 9 (who wrote brand new lyrics for the rap section). We are also fortunate to have the amazing Michael “Pikong” Guevarra on saxophones and Lester Sorilla on trumpet. Lastly, we are honored to have Ira Cruz, a legend in his own right, on guitars. Little trivia, Ira happens to be the son of Anak Bayan’s Alex “Papi” Cruz.

Big shoutout to Shinji Tanaka of Kodama Studio for the masterful work in refining our sound. And to Raffy Calicdan for his beast-mode video editing skillz!
