Everything you need to know to pack up your things and move across the world to Dubai in the UAE. This is the full process that we went through to leave the UK and move our family across to the UAE this past May. We have lived here for 2 months at the time of filming this video and loving every second.
Step by step from the video:
1. Set up a business.
2. Dependants birth certificates and marriage certificate of sponsors (parents) apostle and attested in UK by UK government and then by UAE Consulate in London. Then also attested by UAE MOFA in the UAE.
3. Apply for a visa for all 18 years plus.
4. Once e-visa is approved then you can fly out to Dubai to complete the process.
5. Children (dependants) enter Dubai on a 30 day tourist visa whereas 18 years plus enter on a 2 year residents e-visa.
6. At this point your 2 year visa time starts and your children are on a 30 day timer to get their visas sorted and change their visa status from tourist to resident also.
7. Medical testing and biometrics. Once you pass your medical you are an official resident of the UAE and your Emirates ID will be issued.
8. Now you are a resident you can use your Emirates ID to find a long term home. To complete dependants visas you need an EJARI and DEWA which can only be obtained once you are a resident and have an active tenancy agreement in a home.
9. Once you have a home and EJARI/DEWA you can finalise your dependants visas.
10. Once they are approved ~ 1 week, you are all official residents and your children Emirates IDs will be issued.
11. Dependants do not need a medical or biometrics taken. Only 18 years old plus.
