Government has been calling for international assistance to help combat a raging fire at a large fuel storage site in the capital. The Tripoli facility contains 6.6 million litres of fuel, and government says if the fire isn't put out, it could potentially cause a humanitarian and environmental disaster. The fire was caused by a rocket attack during ongoing clashes between militia groups. Libya has also now confirmed that a second tanker has caught fire in a disturbing escalation of the situation. Firefighters have left the scene due to the clashes. The country's state oil firm says the situation is out of control.
