German police said officers in Munich on Thursday (September 5) shot dead a man after an exchange of fire near the Israeli consulate and a Nazi history museum.
Munich police spokesperson Andreas Franken said the suspect was holding a long-barreled rifle. He said five officers were involved in the shootout, and there were no indications others were involved.
