Day three began with a return visit to the PGE Narodowy stadium to visit a few big rooms I was unable to access day one, including the big Avant-Garde G3 speakers driven by Kondo electronics sourced with Kondo's turntable and phono preamp and a Studer A80 tape deck.
In another big room Magico demoed for the first time ever at a show the big M7s driven by Pilium Cronus mono blocks and sourced via an MSB DAC. I hit the room twice and both times the music being played was abysmally unsuited to demonstrate the speaker's capabilities. At least it wasn't SRV or the usual audiophile show swill.
Over at the Golden Tulip there was special sound from small Franco Serblin speakers and grand, dramatic sound—best in show for me—from the huge Clarysis ribbon speakers driven by Convergent Audio Technology (CAT) electronics. The all-Polish source—J.Sikora turntable and Lampizator phono preamp. It was an all-tube lineup that produced absolutely stunning musical performance!
I was unable to shoot video during a fascinating demo of Sonopress's new injection molded "Eco Records" versus conventional hydraulic pressed records. Everyone at the demo agreed "The Eco Records" injection molded using PET not PVC sounded demonstrably better, though how and who mastered was not divulged.
