STORYLINE:
Sequins sparkled and cameras flashed as actors and creators hit the new champagne-colored carpet at the 95th Academy Awards in Los Angeles Sunday. It’s the first time since 1961 that the carpet at the world-famous Oscars ceremony has not been red.
The show will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel—his third time as host-- at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood and broadcast live on ABC in the U.S.
Celebrities including Brendan Fraser, Jamie Lee Curtis, Troy Kotsur, and Questlove walked the carpet to the delight of watching fans
Ten movies are competing for best picture: “All Quiet on the Western Front,” “Avatar: The Way of Water,” “The Banshees of Inisherin,” “Elvis,” “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” “The Fabelmans,” “Tár,” “Top Gun: Maverick,” “Triangle of Sadness,” and “Women Talking.”
The Oscars will be broadcast live on ABC starting at 8pm ET.
