► The UK is losing more GP surgeries than ever before.
According to new research, it shows how that in the last six years nearly 600 have shut with 138 closing last year most of which are in England.
Experts say that the 'system is creaking' due to a recruitment crisis that is increasing the pressure on GPs and driving many of them out.
One surgery in East London has just had to take on more than a thousand new patients after a nearby doctor's surgery closed down.
