Empowering women and girls is one of the ways the global community can combat climate change. Gender and climate are inextricable, though women feel the effects of climate the most, they also represent an opportunity to address climate change.
Women are an important stakeholder to drive productivity and growth through engaging in climate change mitigation, and adaptation practices
Today Makerere Business School in Nakawa hosted different stakeholders to create awareness of women in climate change, based on the theme ‘’ accelerating progress on equality and empowerment through innovation for both girls and women in the communities”
