OMG!!! This jerky is sooo awesome!!! "Can't get enough of that sugar crisp," remember that saying? Okay, I'll forget the sugar crisp for now, It's jerky time! Let me know if you try this and how it works out for you. Thanks for viewing! :)
MY BEEF JERKEY RECIPE.
2 lbs extra lean ground beef (equals 5 Nesco trays - 3 lbs = 6 trays)
2 packs each or jerky cure seasoning and salt.
2 tsp each of onion powder and garlic powder.
2 tsp each of Liquid Smoke, Worcestershire Sauce and Soya Sauce.
Depending on your taste you can add some brown sugar, (hot sauce or 2 tsp curry powder). Be creative, but keep in mind that when making ground beef jerky, liquid ingredients have to be kept to a minimum. Most ground jerky recipes will have 2oz of liquid ingredients per 1lb of meat. The last thing you want is a bunch or liquid dripping all over when you're squeezing the hamburger from the jerkey gun out on to the trays.
Thoroughly mix all ingredients together in large mixing bowl by hand. Cover with saran wrap and let sit over night in fridge. Line trays with non stick round silicone dehydrator sheets. I bought mine off Amazon.ca here.

Pack jerky gun with prepped lean ground beef. Squeeze strips onto trays making sure to leave some space between strips for air-flow. Cook in Nesco Dehydrator at 160 F. About every 2 hours dab all jerky strips with paper towels. Don't forget to reverse all trays when placing them back.
Check after 6 to 6.5 hours. Place all strips in paper towels again and pat dry if needed. Store in fridge or vacuum seal them. Enjoy!
