The Pushpagiri ,also known as Kumaraparvatha is the second-highest peak of Kodagu, and fourth highest peak in Karnataka.
It is 1,712 metres high and is located in Coorg taluk of Karnataka, in the famous Western Ghats.
It is 5 hours journey from Bangalore to Somwarpet, covering 234 km.
The other route is Bangalore to Kukke Subramanya in 6 hours, covering 271 km.
You need to register at the forest check post for both the trekking trails.
The climate is generally cool and wet. It receives heavy rainfall between June to
September. From October to December the area is covered in mist almost all the time. This is the best season for trekking.
