This week's video features our Signature Facial (a deep cleansing facial) with Dermaplane and LED Light Therapy.

I begin the facial with Dermaplaning. Dermaplaning is the process of using a blade to exfoliate the top layers of skin and vellus hair to achieve better product penetration. Check out our other Dermaplaning facial videos here!

After the Dermaplaning, I cleanse the skin with Dermalogica Daily Microexfoliant, a rice-based powder that activates with water. Its unique blend of Phytic Acid from Rice Bran, White Tea and Licorice works to balance uneven skin tone while simultaneously calming skin with Colloidal Oatmeal and Allantoin. This is followed by deep pore extractions for removal of blackheads and whiteheads. After the extractions, a CO2 ball (a natural antiseptic) cools the skin and closes pores after extractions. Then, PCA Skin's Detoxifying mask is applied to absorb any leftover excess dirt, oil and debris.

I then apply our 20-min LED Light Therapy treatment from Celluma in the anti-aging setting (mostly red light). LED light therapy uses wavelengths of light, such as red and blue, to target specific health concerns, including acne and anti-aging. When used for anti-aging, LED light therapy uses specific clinically verified wavelengths of light energy to activate fibroblast cells which in turn "enhances your body's natural ability to generate collagen and elastin." I finish the facial with PCA Skin's Enzymatic Treatment to brighten the skin and improve its texture!
