In this video, I am out at a favourite spot by the river to try another ration pack from around the world - this time a Chinese PLA Military one, menu 18.

I love a ration pack, always have and find them exciting to open and see what’s inside - this ration pack didn’t disappoint, especially as I wasn’t able to read the Chinese information on the outer packaging.

Sadly, the ration heaters included didn’t work, but this was not surprising as the ration pack was several years out of date. In my experience, military ration packs have a very long shelf life - often years longer than the specified date, however, I don’t advise anyone to eat out of date food, this was a choice I made and I accepted the risk.
