This ad is interesting that it showcases original footage of the latest figures, while playing the Tonka 'Gobots' jingle in the background and using animation from a Japanese promotion/ad for Machine Robo, I believe to be animated by Studio Pierrot, but I might be mistaken. It even mentions the UK Robo Machines comic printed by UK publisher; Eagle.
I figured that 1985 would be the best point in time for this ad as that was likely when the toys were being sold just before the Gobots cartoon began airing, or around that same time. If not then this ad may be from 1986 if I'm wrong, but it should be around that time frame.
