The sound of a Green Tree Frog (aka White's Tree Frog) calling in tropical northern Australia. The calls of the Australian Green Tree Frog (Litoria caerulea) are a deep, repetitive series of croaks 'crawk-crawk-crawk....', often with multiple individuals calling at the same time. Apart from these croaking calls, this species can also make a loud barking 'stress call' when they are agitated.
This sample was recorded in the wet season in northern Queensland and features the sounds of Australian Green Tree Frogs along with some calls of Ornate Burrowing Frog (Platyplectrum ornatum) towards the end of this cut.
