Albin Kurti, Kosovo’s Prime Minister, told N1 I Brussels on Wednesday that there would not be a new round of the Belgrade – Pristina dialogue on the normalisation of relations on May 11, [ Ссылка ] as announced by Josep Borell, the European Union High Commissioner for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

Kurti who started a visit to Brussels added that the speed was not important but that the dialogue should be well prepared and that it was necessary to set the principles for the negotiations and not focus on the past and particular interests.

Kurti said he would not be in Brussels on May 11 but would take part in the summit by all Western Balkans leaders later.

Borell announced the dialogue after meeting Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic in Brussels on Monday, and Pristina reacted by saying no one had informed Kosovo’s Government about the resumption of the dialogue.

Vucic accepted the continuation of the negotiations, saying the Serb side would come in good faith and hoped for an open door for the talks.

He added that for Belgrade, it was important to hear the Albanians’ demands and that Serbia did not have any but “one normal – for all agreed to be implemented.”
