Thirumalai Nayak Palace was built in Indo-Saracenic style architecture by the King Thirumalai Nayak in 1636.The original palace complex was four times bigger than the present structure.Then during the British rule Lord Napier made renovation works to strenthen the palace in 1822. This palace is open daily from 9am to 5pm. Sound and light show is conducted here by Tamilnadu Tourism.
