Dr. Robert J Lefkowitz is an American biochemist and physician. He is known for his groundbreaking work on G protein coupled receptors, for which he was awarded the 2012 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. He is currently the James B. Duke Professor of Medicine and Professor of Biochemistry and Chemistry at Duke University and an Investigator with the Howard Hughes Medical Centre.
