Comparing clipped versus non clipped pastures for winter stockpile quantity and quality. By clipping off the troublesome ironweed at the end of July, it allowed the grass to fully regrow for winter stockpile. The quantity was higher though in the non-clipped section of the pasture versus the clipped pasture. The lesson behind clipping pastures is don't do it any later than July 30th in the midwest!
