The National Association of Realtors (NAR) has agreed to pay $418 million after reaching a settlement in a lawsuit where a federal jury ruled the organization had conspired to inflate commissions.

From Ken’s viewpoint, the settlement has resulted in "total confusion" across the real estate industry. He explains how the change requires brokers to have Buyers that are trying to view homes after 8/17/24 to sign a "buyer's broker agreement" outlining all the services they will provide for buyers, as well as the cost of each service. Ken explains that the ruling is "not a big deal," but rather, it's the confusion it has raised that is the real problem.
