About nine months ago I sold one of my other guitars and commissioned another guitar from Robert England. Having played most of the guitars he's made so far and also being the owner of two of them (Hauser and Rodriguez), I had no doubt that he will create a great one even using a new template for a first time (the Robert Bouchet model). I've had it for a couple of months now and am very happy with it. The sound is different than the other two I have, so the experiment with a new model was worth it. The Bouchet model has a stiffer internal construction which increases sustain and also combined with the Adirondack Red Spruce top creates this feeling that the sound will keep coming out forever when you play a chord. The finish of the guitar inside and out is great too and the action is quite low with no buzzing or any other effects on the sound. The pictures in the video are from the construction of the guitar.
Here are the details of the guitar:
Model: Robert Bouchet
Top: Adirondack Red Spruce (French polished)
Back and Sides: Indian Rosewood (Lacquered)
Neck: Mahogany with a carbon fiber insert
Fingerboard: Ebony
Bridge: Indian Rosewood
Recorded with a pair of Peluso CEMC-6 microphones (no added reverb)
Strings (this is the set I now use on all my guitars):
1st and 2nd - Hannabach Super-Low tension PR
3rd - Galli Carbonio High tension
4th, 5th, and 6th - D'Addario High Tension EXP
