Ray said that these cookies were so darn good..They just about melt in your mouth he likes the strawberry on top.. This recipe made 2 1/2 dozen that would depends on the size of your balls you make.. It all so took me about 20 minutes on my oven... at 350.

SHORTBREAD COOKIES TOPPED WITH STRAWBERRY JAM
1 CUP BUTTER SOFTENED UNTIL THE BUTTER LOOKS WHITE AND FLUFFY..
1 TEASPOON VANILLA
1/2 CUP CONFECTIONER SUGAR
1/4 CUP CORNSTARCH
1 1/2 CUPS ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1/8 CUP SUGAR OPTIONAL
INSTRUCTIONS BELOW
WHIP BUTTER UNTIL IT TURNS WHITE AND GETS FLUFFY
THEN ADD THE VANILLA AND BEAT IN
THEN ADD ALL THE REST OF INGREDIENTS
THEN BEAT WELL FOR SEVERAL MINUTES
BAKE 350 @ 15-20 MINUTES DEPENDS ON YOUR OVEN
COOKIES SHOULD BE LIGHT BROWN ONCE IS DONE..
