The NUMBALUMS and the Northwestern University "Wildcat" Marching Band perform their #NUhomecoming pregame show prior to the Northwestern vs. Nebraska football game on October 13, 2018.
The NUMBALUMS open the show with "Go U, Northwestern!" (1912). The Wildcat Band's follows with "Fanfare" (2011), "Downfield" and "Rise, Northwestern! (Push On)" (1915), a patriotic medley of "You're a Grand Old Flag" with "God Bless America," the fight song of the University of Nebraska (our guests and opponents of the day), and a reprise of "Go U, Northwestern!"
The Wildcat Band is led on the field by Drum Majors Nicholas Pecora and Jonathan deBruin. The Voice of the Wildcat Band is Mr. Pete Friedmann '79, the Director of Digital Media is Mr. Daniel M. Reck '08 MSEd, the Director of Bands is Dr. Mallory Thompson '79/'80 MMus, and the Director of the "Wildcat" Marching Band is Mr. Daniel J. Farris.
