Amrit Bharat Express: The inauguration of the newly introduced Amrit Bharat Express train marked its arrival at Malda Station, now named the Malda Town-Bengaluru Amrit Bharat Express. Prime Minister Modi remotely inaugurated two Amrit Bharat trains, including the Malda Town-Bangalore route, alongside launching six new Vande Bharat trains. Operating as a semi-high-speed train with a speed limit between 110 and 130 kmph, the train is configured with 14 general and 8 sleeper coaches. Although it lacks automatic doors, the train is equipped with modern amenities. Scheduled for regular service starting on December 31, the Bangalore-bound Amrit Bharat Express is set to commence its routine operations.
