The Global Peace & Unity (GPU) Festival 2024 took place at London’s ExCeL Centre on October 19-20, emerging as a vibrant multicultural celebration dedicated to promoting peace and understanding among diverse communities, particularly within the British Muslim context. Esteemed figures such as Maulana Tariq Jamil and Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan participated in the Global Conference, offering powerful insights on faith, unity, and pressing global challenges.
The festival featured uplifting performances by Nasheed artists Harris J and Mesut Kurtis, adding a spiritual dimension to the event. Over 400 exhibitors showcased a diverse array of international halal cuisine, fashion, and beauty products, reflecting community trends, while 25 focused workshops addressed critical topics, including the halal economy, youth empowerment, and interfaith dialogue.
The UK’s largest halal setting for Muslims to meet potential spouses was arranged over the two-day event, creating a welcoming atmosphere for meaningful connections. The Charity Symposium and Finance Pavilion explored innovative trends in the charity sector and Islamic finance, contributing to the festival’s mission of fostering social responsibility.
Attendees enjoyed impactful documentaries and investigative films screened at the Film Festival, alongside adventure-filled activities for children. Sports enthusiasts participated in football and martial arts tournaments designed for all ages, ensuring entertainment for the entire family.
