Last month, mass shootings at two mosques in New Zealand left fifty people dead and shocked people across the world. As with other anti-Muslim attacks, the massacre brought up serious questions about security and religious intolerance. Tahirah Amatul-Wadud is an attorney and sits on the board of the Council on American Islamic Relations of Massachusetts (CAIR Massachusetts). Amatul-Wadud sat down with Carolee McGrath to share how western Mass’s Islamic community is dealing with these questions in the aftermath of the massacre in New Zealand.
