One day trip to the stunning Mawddach Woodlands bordering the Mawddach Estuary and sitting in the lost world of the gorges and outcrops just east of Barmouth. This place offers the best chance in the west of the UK to encounter the incredibly elusive yet truly enigmatic Wood Warbler. With an evocative call of a 'spinning coin coming to rest' and plumage of prominent olive green and lemon yellow this leaf warbler is an icon that sadly, like it's ancient habitat requirements, is dwindling in the British Isles.
One day, one shoot and rooted to one predetermined WW territory spot would I manage to get the Bucket Shot(s) of this bird worthy to keep in the WP archives and stock footage - join me to find out.
Lots of uploads soon - some commissions, but a real determination to raise the game on this channel for the beginning of '23.
