Jurgis DID teams up with hippie legend FANTUZZI to deliver an “unconventional” musical talk from Black Rock City (BurningMan) that explains how utopian communities are built on a framework of love and radical idealism. Immersion in alternative social realities is a transformative experience that resets individuals and returns them to the world as incarnations of the spaces’ philosophy, customs and standards. Love is what makes radical utopias like BurningMan and Rainbow gatherings resilient, it is also an interpersonal standard that can humanise the default realities we live in and bring about the kind of social change that a traditional top-down approach cannot.
