From Lisbon I did two day trips; one to Belem and the other to Cascais. When going to Belem I saw the monument to the discoveries, the Belem tower and the Jerónimos Monastery. On my visit to Cascais I saw the beach then walked west along the shore to Boca do Inferno then I caught a bus (40 mins) to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe. After my 6 nights in Lisbon, I went to Sintra for two nights where I explored the old town and walked up the Villa Sassetti trail to the Peña Palace.
