In this webinar, Daniel Solove (GW Law) will discuss with Anu Bradford (Columbia Law) her new book, Digital Empires: The Global Battle to Regulate Technology (Oxford 2023). Three regulatory approaches for technology are competing around the globe: (1) the U.S. market-driven model, (2) the EU rights-driven model, and (3) the Chinese state-driven model. They will explore the implications of the "Brussels Effect," a term coined by Bradford to describe the EU's profound influence on worldwide regulation.
