Coming from T8 at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, both drivers uses the same line. The entry is very similar in T9, but the coach is more commited to the available grip and is able to extract more minimum speed.
Both drivers get caught up (puddle for the coach, curb for the student) at the apex and lose the back end of the car. The student gets a better exit.
The biggest difference is T10. The coach decides to avoid slightly the puddles on the left. The student uses the dry racing line. It seems that both lines work pretty well in this corner. The student uses more track, and can carry more speed at the apex. The coach goes down to 2nd gear to get more power on the exit.
This shows that different lines and different input CAN work. Especially in the rain. The delta was the same for both drivers.
