After seeing countless photos does this beautiful ridge and finding myself in the area I knew I had to check it out for myself. Doing some research I learned the trail is a 18 mile trail round trip with over 5,000 ft elevation gain. Camping would be the best option. Backcountry reservations are required and I lucked out with Taylor meadows being available for the next day. So I had to go. The long and steep trek up to camp and then up to panorama ridge for sunset was well worth it. The view and feeling being surrounded by mountains is unlike anything else.
