A political war has erupted in Guinea, a day after over 50 people were killed in a deadly stampede at a football stadium. The horrific incident has triggered a fierce war of words between the opposition and the junta. The opposition claims that the junta is directly responsible for the deaths in the stadium. Guinea has also launched an inquiry into the incident that took place in its second-largest city of Nzerekore on Sunday. Dissatisfaction with the refereeing decisions during a game led to stone-throwing by fans that eventually resulted in a stampede at the stadium. The government said that the death toll stood at 56. However, many in the country dispute this and believe the toll stands closer to 100. Stadium-related tragedies are not very uncommon in Guinea. Who will take responsibility for the stampede? Watch the video to know more.
