Ajahn Cattamalo Bhikkhu was ordained in the tradition of Venerable Ajahn Chah in Ubon Ratchathani, North-East Thailand in 1988. He spent the first seven years practising under numerous meditation teachers of the Thai Forest Tradition. In 2008, he returned to Germany to set up Muttodaya Forest Monastery, where he is currently serving as the Abbot.
